Among the hundred medical works attributed to Razi, the book Awjaa al-Mufasil has a special place for itself. This book is actually the first independent book written in the field of joint diseases, and despite this fact, medical history researchers have not paid enough attention to it.

كتاب أَوْجاعُ المَفاصِل در بين يكصد اثر طبی منسوب به رازی، جايگاهی ويژه به خود اختصاص داده است. اين كتاب در حقيقت اولين كتاب مستقلی است كه در زمينه بيماری­‌های مفاصل نوشته شده، و به ­رغم اين حقيقت، محققان تاريخ پزشكی، توجهی كافی بدان مبذول نكرده‌اند.
