Ahmad bin Mohammad Hayati Qureshi is one of the doctors of the 10th century of Hijri who served as the chief physician of Syria. The genealogy book was written in the early 10th century and the author tried to explain all the principles of medicine branch by branch in simple language. In the introduction of the book, Ahmad bin Hayati first mentions the natural divisions, and in the following pages, he mentions the divisions related to temperaments, blood, phlegm, bile, and soda, and after describing hair color, eye color, tooth condition, obesity, and thinness. And the description of moderation of the body goes to sensual symptoms, and mentions diseases based on organs, and finally, he has finished his book with explanations about edema. This book has been printed from the manuscript of Ahmed III library in Istanbul with number 2045.

احمدبن محمد حیاتی قریشی یکی از پزشکان قرن دهم هجری است که به عنوان رئیس اطبای شام خدمت می‌ کرد. کتاب شجره الطب از نوع شجره‌ نویسی در اوایل قرن دهم نوشته شده و نویسنده تلاش کرده تمامی اصول طب را به صورت شاخه به شاخه و با زبانی ساده توضیح دهد. احمدبن حیاتی  در مقدمه کتاب ابتدا به تقسیمات طبیعی اشاره نموده، و در صفحات بعدی تقسیمات مربوط به مزاج ها، خون، بلغم، صفرا و سودا را متذکر می شود، و پس از شرح رنگ مو، رنگ چشم، وضعیت دندان، چاقی، لاغری و شرح اعتدال بدن به سراغ  اعراض نفسانی رفته، و به ذکر بیماری ها بر اساس اندام می‌پردازد، و در آخر کتاب خود را با توضیحاتی درباره ورم به پایان رسانده است. این کتاب از روی نسخه خطی کتابخانه احمد سوم در استانبول به شماره ۲۰۴۵ به چاپ رسیده است.
